About Milos’ Deli
At Milo’s Deli, our mission is simple: to be where hospitality and community meet. We are more than just a revived restaurant in Franklinton, Ohio - we are a gathering place built on quality food, genuine service, and a passion for bringing people together.
We have been serving Franklinton since 1998. As we open this new chapter with our flagship deli in East Franklinton at 401 W Town Street, we remain committed to our tradition of quality hospitality and community connection that has defined us for decades!
Our History

Milo’s Deli first opened its doors in the Franklinton neighborhood of downtown Columbus, Ohio on November 29, 1998. Created by Kathy Pappas & sister Demetra Stefanidis, the deli was named after Tom & Kathy’s two children: Mi(Michael) Lo(Louie) = Milo’s Deli!
Kathy is the wife of restauranter, and local legend, Tommy Pappas. They owned the timeless Tommy’s Diner together in the same part of town.
Focused on deli fare with Mediterranean flair, the business grew quickly and began catering for local businesses (delivered personally by Tommy in his Ford Explorer). Louie Pappas joined the team in 2000 and began working alongside his family.

As the catering side of the business continued to expand, Milo’s Deli closed its dining room doors in 2014. The team remained in the same location in Franklinton, now home to Milo’s Catering. In the following years, the deli opened in the Statehouse as well as some corporate cafes in office buildings, but didn’t find a new permanent home. The team remained committed to one day reopening a deli location in Franklinton.
Milos’ Catering began managing event venues, starting with the Smith Bros. Hardware building in 2020, renamed North 4th Corridor, followed by Strongwater Events in 2024.
In September 2025, Milo’s Deli reopened in its hometown of Franklinton, located in the historic 400 West Rich building.
